Technique Tuesday Blog Hop

Hi everyone!  I'm so excited to be a guest over at  Technique Tuesday this month and to be a part of the May Release Blog Hop today! Hopefully you have arrived from Allison Arbour's blog.  I am your second stop in the hop and today I have a scrapbook layout to share with you.

I was sent the pretty Beautiful Butterflies Stamp Set to create with which I've used on my page today along with the Essentials Stitched Labels Dies .

I love that there are three different sizes of butterflies in this set and a lovely selection of sentiments to choose from as well.  I stamped the butterflies and sentiment in black ink onto plain white cardstock then cut them all out ready to use.  I also used the largest label die to cut a tag to go behind my photos.
As I put my page together I thought about adding colour to the butterflies, however I found they stood out and looked gorgeous all on their own in black and white.  I love the looks of them in contrast to the other splashes of colour on the page!

I added machine stitched butterfly trails to the page for each butterfly using my sewing machine, then stitched along the journaling strips and sentiment as well to add some subtle texture.

You can see my process in the video below (expand to full screen for best viewing)...

Happy (Inter)National Scrapbook Day 2019!

Hi everyone and welcome back to my blog!

Well...it's been a long, long time since I posted here, but could there be a better time to relaunch my blog posts than iNSD?!

Today I have a pocket page to share with you featuring this month's Felicity Jane Megan Kit.  These photos were taken at Easter and I thought the colours in the kit were just perfect for an Easter spread!

I absolutely adore the pretty paper bows in the kit this month so I couldn't resist using one for one of my filler cards!

I always love adding a bit of stamping to my projects too.  I used phrases from the Megan Stamp Set to stamp the tag and above my journaling too.

We're having a Felicity Jane IG hop for iNSD where all of us on the Creative Team will be sharing a bit of inspiration so if you're on Instagram today be sure to check out what the rest of the team has come up with!  You can find the start of the hop at @felicityjanestudio and then tap through from the iNSD post to see all of the projects.

If you'd like to see how I put this pocket page together you can see all the details in the video below...

If you have trouble viewing it here on the blog just head on over to my channel by clicking  HERE.

I hope to add posts here regularly from now on with my latest scrappy projects so if you'd like to see what I've been creating be sure to pop back often!

I hope you have some fun creative plans for today!  Happy iNSD!!!
