Easter Saturday

It was another stunning day here on the coast so we decided to head to Surfers Paradise for the day!

First on the agenda was a trip to the top of Q1.  We've been meaning to take the kids there for ages and even though it was a little pricey the views up top really were spectacular!

These pics were all snapped on my iPhone from the observation deck.   You get amazing 360 degree views up there!
 Looking to the south...
 And another direction...
The kids loved it!  We all had a look through the big binoculars there too and we could see the sports stadium near where we live.  That was pretty cool.

Afterwards we headed back down and had a walk around the place, stopping for a little play in one of the parks.
Then we decided to have lunch at Pancakes in Paradise.  Wow...these were SO delicious!!!!  We've never eaten there before but I think we'll be back for sure. YUM!!
We wandered around some more (had to walk off those piles of pancakes and  cream!), checked out the mall, the beach and the markets too.  After a couple of hours it was time to head home again...mainly because we had to get ready to head to the football tonight!

The kids have never been to a game before and have been asking to go for ages.  We thought since there was a home game this weekend and its the school holidays then why not?   So off we went to see the Titans v Roosters.  The kids loved it!  It was so fun watching them and hearing them screaming out, chanting and cheering the Titans on!  They got right into the spirit of it all.

It's actually our wedding anniversary today too.  Not the most romantic way to celebrate but we had fun!  (We'll celebrate properly next weekend perhaps. LOL)
In the end the Roosters beat the Titans 18-12.  A bit disappointing but it was still such a great night!  One I'm sure the kids won't forget in a hurry. :)
No doubt they'll be asking when we're going to the next game very soon!

That's how we spent our Easter Saturday!  I hope you had a great one too!

Sheree xx
ps.  A very Happy Easter everyone!!!  Have a beautiful Easter Sunday!
