A mini, a chatterbox, a lost tooth & a little dilemma...

The new weekly challenges have gone up today over at Scrapz Biz. This week I've set the Build It Up (OTP) challenge to create a little mini for Fathers Day. It was so quick and easy to make! I grabbed a pic of each of the kids with Paul and then asked each of them what they love about Daddy then used their responses as my journaling. Seriously, this only took me one evening to put together so if you do want to make something and you're a little short on time this could be the way to go.

(Sorry the colour isn't the greatest in these pics...must've picked the wrong time of day for the lighting....but you get the idea.) If you'd like more details about the challenge or how to enter just head over to the Designer Zone.
I also had a go at the pink/green/white colour combo challenge that Melleny set last week. This pic of Madi cracks me up! Hee hee hee...

That's about all I've got to share on the scrapping front... but I also had to show you that Ayden has finally lost that tooth!
Paul ended up pulling it out the morning after I did my last post. It came out SO easily...but it seemed it just didn't want to fall out on it's own. I love his cute new grin! For some reason our poor little man felt all embarrassed when he got to school and didn't want to show anyone.... he soon got over it though.
Had to share this too...The other night I was putting the kids to bed when I heard Riley start to cry. He was in the toilet...nothing unusual there... but when I opened the door I found him with Madi's toilet seat stuck on his head! LOL

Oh my... I couldn't help but laugh even though he was bawling his eyes out! It was hilarious!!!! Don't ask me why he felt the need to put it on his head in the first place... but he did... and then he couldn't get it up past his ears again! Oh dear.... in the end I just had to pull it off hurting his little ears in the process. I bet he doesn't do it again!!!!! Kids do the strangest things....

That's about it for now. Enjoy the rest of your week and take care!

Cuttlebug Cards 'For the Boys'...

On Saturday I had a lovely afternoon teaching my monthly Cuttlebug class at Sunbird Scrapbooking. Unfortunately it may be my last as it looks like the shop is closing down. It's so sad to think that there won't be a scrapping store there soon...these tough times are making it so hard for store owners to keep trading....such a shame.

We had a great bunch of ladies there on Saturday! This class was geared towards making cards for boys (or men) using the Cuttlebug...

(I used Cosmo Cricket Lil Man paper & Cuttlebug folders - Swiss Dots, Tiny Mosaic, Number Collage & Houndstooth.)

The following layout I did a couple of weeks ago. You might say I'm a little behind on scrapping birthday layouts since Ayden will be turning 7 in a couple of I don't think I've scrapped his 4th birthday yet either... and then there are Riley's and Madi's birthdays still to go too. I've got some catching up to do! LOL

(Papers and chipboard are Scenic Route plus I've used American Crafts Thickers and Jenni Bowlin Letter Stickers.)

I really wanted to share this drawing Riley did at Kindy last week while I'm here. They had the Dreamworld Wildlife show visit them for the morning showing them some animals. Riley was quite taken with the green tree frog and drew this...

I just think it's SO cute!!! LOL... I love it!! :) I'm disappointed I wasn't there on the morning to get some photos. Oh well.

Lea asked me (in the comments of my last post) when I craft and how I find time with three littlies.... Well I usually end up creating at night after they've gone to bed. I try to steal a bit of time during the day to organise which photos/papers/embellies I'm going to use so that when I sit down at night I'm ready to go. I'm a slow scrapper so I never get more than one layout done in one sitting. It amazes me how some people can do multiple layouts in a night! Wish I could do that. LOL (By the way... thank you all so much for the lovely comments about my cards and layout in the last post... you really made me smile :) )

We're heading for a hot day today. This weather is so unseasonal... it's supposed to get to 33 degrees! I can feel it getting warmer already. Hope you're all having a lovely Monday!

ps. Ayden's tooth is hanging in there! I can't believe it hasn't fallen out yet... it'll be any day now!

Hooty owls and little pigtails...

Hi everyone! We've been having the most gorgeous weather here lately... feels like spring is in the air already. They're even predicting 31 degrees here for Monday (which will feel like summer and set a new record for August!) although I think that'll be a bit of a shock to the system... We'll have to wait and see what happens. How has it been at your place?

Another week's gone by and it's time for a new set of weekly challenges over at Scrapz Biz. This week I've set the 'Noteworthy' card challenge which is to create a shaped card....something different to the usual square or rectangular shape that we all use.

I've created these cards as my samples... a tree card and a car card using some new little Basic Grey owl stamps (they're so cute!)... I've included a few close-up pics so you can see more of the detail.

I had so much fun creating these! The tree and car shapes I just drew onto plain paper to use as my template and then when I was happy with the basic shape I traced them onto the cardstock and paper to cut out. You just need to think about where you can put the fold of the card. (For example on my tree card the fold is down the left side of the tree trunk, while the roof became the fold on the car card.)

(If you'd like to enter this week's challenge just head over to the Designer Zone at Scrapz Biz for all the details.)

The other night I put this layout together for Melleny's sketch challenge... (Those little piggies were just so adorable!)

Melleny chose a Page Maps sketch for everyone to use... although my layout turned out nothing like the sketch! LOL Oh well...

I managed to use up a few older supplies out of my stash like the hot pink velvet K&Co letter stickers and the Making Memories die cut paper. I mixed in a little Bo Bunny (the green background and the cut-out flowers), some Heidi Swapp stickers... and the flower I actually found in the gift wrapping section at the newsagents. (I was planning to use it on a present a while ago and ended up using something else... so now it's found it's way onto this page.)

Well that's all the scrapping for this post! Before I head off I just wanted to post this pic of's probably the last pic of him with his two front baby teeth as the one on the right is about to fall out any moment! Seriously... it's SO wobbly I'm a little worried it might fall out while he's asleep tonight! We'll soon see!

He's growing up way too fast...

Until next time take care. Thanks so much for dropping by!

(Edited to Add: Someone just left a comment asking what the black letter sticker were that I used on my 'First Pigtails' layout above. They're American Crafts Thickers - 'Rainboots'.... one of my faves at the moment. They also come in some other great colours like blue and yellow. Hope that helps! Sheree xx)

Challenge Thursday...

This week's challenges have gone up over at Scrapz Biz and it was my turn to set the 'Paint a Rainbow' colour combo challenge. I've gone with a yellow/red/blue/green mix. Here's my sample...I finally got last years' Fathers' Day pic scrapped! Yay! :)I've used some American Crafts paper for the background and the rest is Cosmo Cricket Early Bird papers and chipboard (love them!). If you'd like to join in the fun just head over to the Designer Zone for more info.

I made this card a couple of days ago as part of Lydell's 'Noteworthy' challenge last week...

We had to include dots, string and faux stitching. Papers and letter stickers are American Crafts and the sentiment stamp is by Hero Arts.

That's about all I've got to share at the moment. Hope you have a great weekend!

Beautiful sunny Sunday...

We had the most beautiful day here yesterday! The sun was shining so lovely and warm... so we thought we'd get out of the house and take the kids to the park. We headed down to Burleigh Beach... and so did a LOT of other people with the same idea! LOL... It wasn't quite warm enough to go swimming... although it was amazing how many people were actually in the water! We spread a rug out onto the grass and just hung out while the kids played on the equipment, then had fish and chips for lunch together. SO nice...

The kids were absolutely exhausted when we got home but they really enjoyed the day...

Did anyone watch the start of Australian Idol last night? Wow there were some real shockers! LOL...But it was also great to see some fantastic voices as well. I watched while I scrapped this...

Jen's 'Paint a Rainbow' colour combo challenge this week at Scrapz Biz is blue & orange so I thought I'd give it a go.

Well... that's about it for now. Hope you're all having a great day... and thanks for stopping by!

A quick update...

It's been an interesting week this week with Ayden home for four days from school with high temps. He didn't have any other symptoms - just the temp. Strange.... We were starting to wonder when it would end but thank goodness by the end of the third day the fevers disappeared and he was back to normal. We're hoping the rest of us have gotten away with not picking up whatever bug it far so good!

I've been busy working on my DT and class projects during the week so don't have too much to share, but I did managed to get this done today just for the fun of it...

I managed to use up some older Scenic Route papers (love using up the old stuff!) and mixed them with some recent American Crafts stuff. Have you seen the new stuff from American Crafts that's just been released at CHA? Woweee! Not sure how I'm going to narrow it down and decide what to get. LOL

Have a great week! Better go and find out what my three are up to...they're being a little too quiet at the moment...hmmmm... :)

ps. Thank you so much to everyone for all the beautiful comments for my Mum about her graduation. It made her feel wonderful!
