I'm back!

Hi everyone!!! I haven't been around because we've just done a trip down south through NSW and into Victoria over the past week and a half visiting Paul's family. We just got back this afternoon after a 14 hour drive...phew what a long drive with 3 kids!! It was fantastic to catch up with everyone but it sure is good to be home!

I'm too exhausted tonight... but I'll write all about it and post some photos too over the next few days.

Boy have I missed the internet!! It feels like I've been on another planet or something! Can't wait to see what you've all been up to while I've been away.... but for now it's a nice cup of tea and off to bed to catch some zzzz's....

Nighty-night all! Missed ya!

A couple of layouts...

Finally I've got a couple of layouts to share! These are two of the three layouts I did for my spot on the Seriously Scrapbooks Design Team. (I haven't put them up before now because I never got the chance to scan them before I sent them in.)

One of my favourite photos of Madi! I found it a bit of a challenge using these papers together (not my usual style) and I had to include the chipboard key on my layout somewhere. In the end I was happy how it turned out.

I love these pics of Madi looking super cute in her new shades! She's sitting in her Bumbo chair on the front lawn watching Ayden ride his bike.

Hopefully I'll have some more to share soon! Have a great weekend everyone!

Happy Birthday Riley!

Riley is 3!!! We started off the day with presents of course - mainly Thomas the Tank Engine themed (he's completely obsessed!)- Thomas Roundhouse, colouring books and pens, a Lightning McQueen race track - then he
played some Thomas computer games (he's obsessed with doing that too...). We headed over to McDonald's for lunch. Riley and Ayden spent most of the time climbing in the play area only having quick breaks for a drink and a chip here and there. After that we headed over to the ball play place in Burleigh. The boys absolutely love going there - jumping castle, ball pits, all sorts of climbing to be done, computer games, ride-on cars - the works! We spent the whole afternoon there and had to drag them out when it was time to go. We had a little cake after dinner, then it was bath and bed. It didn't take long for both of them to fall asleep after their big day out! I'm pretty sure Riley enjoyed his day - little does he know we're having a party for him on Sunday with Nanna & Grandpa and the rest of the family. Should be fun! (And yes - of course it's going to be Thomas themed!)

Not much else to add - I'm exhausted myself! Time for a cuppa - plus I've gotta watch the rest of "So you think you can dance"!

A new look....

I've been meaning to do it for ages, and finally last night I had a little play and made myself a new banner for my blog. What do you think? I've had some troubles getting it to appear up there..... one minute it would be there, then when I refreshed the screen it would be gone. Hopefully you can see it?! (Please let me know if you can't.)

I went to the hairdressers today for a bit of pampering..... a few foils and a trim.... I must say the head massage nearly sent me to sleep - it was so relaxing! (Being sleep deprived doesn't help....) I'm quite happy with how it looks - even Ayden told me my hair looks "really nice Mum!" Little sweetie! Although why can't I ever manage to get my hair to look like it did when I left the salon? My blow drying skills need a little practice I think......

I've been so busy scrapping over the past week - 6 layouts in 6 nights!!! That would have to be a record for me! I'd love to share some but they're all DT layouts for Seriously Scrapbooks so I'll have to wait a little whilebefore I put them up. Hopefully I'll be sitting down to do another one tonight.....

Madi is really trying to get around now! Here she is on her hands and knees - she just needs to figure out how to coordinate her hand and leg movements now! I'm sure it won't take her long ... she's already rolling and squirming around all over the floor to get to her toys and things. She's still not sleeping any longer through the night yet. A little frustrating..... She's such a little chatterbox now too and is coming up with all sorts of new sounds! She says "dada", "mumum" (love that one!) and has also found her squeal! It's all very cute - we love it!

It's Riley's birthday tomorrow. I can't believe he's going to be 3 years old already! If the weather is nice we might take the kids down to the beach for a while - they always have a great time there! He's growing so fast and doing so well with his talking, and he copies everything that Ayden does now too. He's like Ayden's shadow - very cute! He's also obsessed with playing Thomas the Tank Engine games on the internet - we're having to limit the time he spends on the computer otherwise he would literally be there all day! You should see the performance we get every time we turn it off! I really am amazed at how quickly they pick up computer skills at such a young age....

Anyway.... I'm just rambling now! Hope you all have a great evening!

Is it really Thursday?

Wow this week has just flown by so far! Now......what's happened since my last post.....hmmmm...

Went to a Tupperware party at Leanne's last Thursday - first time I'd been to one in about 10 years! Anyway - had a great time, met some lovely ladies, ate some absolutely delicious white chocolate ball thingies that the demonstrator made, and then tried to decide on what to buy..... big decision! There are so many great things to choose from but I narrowed it down to a couple of things. I could've bought so much more! Don't think Paul would've liked that much....

Friday we took the kids to the Gold Coast Show. There was so many people there since it was a public holiday, but once we got through the gates it wasn't so bad. We got in for free which was fantastic - a lady in front of us gave us a free family pass that she didn't need - how great was that? We wandered around to check everything out first, then headed for the showbags (Thomas the Tank Engine for Riley and Transformers for Ayden of course!). The boys had a couple of games, then had a few rides. They had so much fun and it was the most beautiful weather too.

Sunday I made Paul a pancake brekkie, then we headed up to Mount Tambourine for a Father's Day picnic. What a great day! Mick, Mel and the kids, Mum & Dad all camped there for the weekend but we just headed up for the day because Paul was working night shift. What a gorgeous place, so relaxing.... and the boys had a ball exploring and playing with their cousins. They climbed rocks, waded in the rock pools, even chased a goanna! They really have no fear which is a bit of a worry... Madi loves being outdoors too and she spent most of her time trying to eat the grass and leaves that ended up on the picnic rug. I managed to get some great photos while we were there - including this one of Paul and the kids - even Madi was smiling at the camera! We really should get out and do that sort of thing more often.....

It's been raining here for the last couple of days - fantastic for the gardens but the dryer has been getting a workout! We need so much more though in the catchment areas - it never seems to fall in the right places. It's supposed to be raining again tomorrow I think.....not much planned for tomorrow.... maybe I'll get some scrapping done......

Well it's almost midnight .... I'd better be off to bed! Nighty-night!
